I have never been fond of IKEA kitchens. I always felt they lacked personality and do not allow for much customization. Well, the House&Home booth at this year’s Interior Design Show truly changed my mind! Suzanne Dimma and Sarah Hartill did a fantastic job by incorporating key components from IKEA (cabinetry, appliances & countertops) while adding charm & personality through the use of a customized wall paneling system, open wood shelving, hand painted ceramic tiles and antique inspired accessories. This created a custom look without the hefty price tag!
The overall feel of the kitchen exuded warmth and character. I would envision this kitchen located in a historic house in the city or a quaint English cottage by the lake. The fusion of eccentric details with classical elements had me dreaming for days!! LOVE IT!!
What are your thoughts of this kitchen? Would you consider this look for your kitchen?!
