My DIY Easter Table Setting!

This Easter, I felt creative! I had a vision of what I wanted to create and got cracking on it (no pun intended hehe). My goal was to put together a table setting that reflected the holiday while incorporating beautiful spring colors.

Step 1: I wanted to make a little something for each family member to bring home. Yes we are all adults, but who doesn’t like getting Easter chocolates?! I decided to purchase mini MASON JARS which I filled with hay and delicious Lindt chocolates. I wanted these party favors to serve a dual purpose, therefore I attached a handmade name tag to each jar, indicating their place seating.

Step 2: Place mats. The great thing about having white dishes, is that they act as a blank canvas to any creative table setting. Given that it was Easter, I purchased bright green & white woven place mats, that brought just the right amount of PUNCH to the table!

Step 3: Flowers. Being a BIG fan of incorporating flowers within every design project, I purchased yellow lilies which complimented the green & white place mats. I placed the lilies and a few baby’s breath in a white water pitcher, creating a charming cottage feel. Since the table was fairly long, I added mini bouquets of pink carnations mixed with baby’s breath, to tie in with the center piece. It was the first time I created a floral arrangement and I was very pleased with the outcome! They added so much LIFE and COLOR to the table!

Step 4: Napkins. For each cloth napkin, a steam of baby’s breath was tied with a yellow ribbon and placed at each setting. This helped tie in with the center piece.

What a difference a little creativity makes. I saved on the mason jars, yet splurged a little more than anticipated on the florals, however I was able to create the entire look for under $75. My family loved the festive outcome and I look forward to creating many more in the upcoming holidays!
