I am a big fan of using photography as a form of art within an interior space. It evokes personality, tells a story and engages conversation. While browsing through Etsy, I came across a talented local Montreal photographer, Irene Suchocki, creator of Eye Poetry.
Irene’s photography style immediately caught my attention. Each photograph possesses an almost magical and dream like quality. Whether it is capturing the hustle and bustle in New York City or a seascape off the cost of California, a sense of serenity emits from each image. My favorite two collections from Eye Poetry’s Wanderlust category are “London Calling” and “Paris: City of Love”. Maybe I am bias because these are two of my favorite cities – however each photograph truly displays the unique qualities each city has to offer. In London, the collection embraces the old English charm and the rainy weather. In Paris, the collection exuded romance and elegant architectural detailing.
I admire Irene’s quality of work, artistic flair and overall aesthetic. It is rare to come across an artist whose work really speaks to you, let alone an artist in your hometown. I look forward to incorporating her beautiful photography collections in upcoming design projects!
